My sister in law just had a bouncing 8lb 7oz boy. Babies are nothing but joy!

Easy enough for you to say when it was your sister-in-law that had to have a baby that big! I'll betcha there was at least a few moments that weren't all joy for her. Somehow it doesn't seem appropriate to add LOL here.

Notatall, MLA. I had all my babies "naturally" meaning LaMaze Method, etc, etc, it hurts like heck, but we mommies sure forget that part when our young 'un is placed in our arms for the first time. :D :D :D

I couldn't resist posting the birth weights of my daughter's babies. 10 lbs. 2 oz.; 10 lbs. 15 1/2 oz.; 9 lbs. 8 oz.; and 9 lbs. The last two the Dr. would start them early so she wouldn't have such big babies.

Quite a contrast to ours. First one was 5 - 13 (preemie) and the heaviest was 7lb. (none were full term). So it was a scary thing when my wife said "It's time to go" because when it was time, she didn't fool around in having them. Whew, as good as it was to see our babies come into the world, I'm glad it's past. Now the next generation can look after having theirs!

Mine were 6 lbs 11 oz and 6 lbs 12 oz. Neither of them were preemies. And like Hanta said, Lamaze Method on both mine. I don't think it matters how big or how little that baby is when it gets here, it still seems tiny. Specially that first one, ya thank ya might break if ya do somethin the wrong way. LOL

Our daughter was a preemie. Weighed in at 2 lbs. 8 oz. back in 1963. Now that was scary!!!! And we thought we had the national debt on our backs...now it costs more to have a normal baby than what it cost us back then. You could cover up her foot with your thumb. Just think about half of a 5 lb. sack of sugar!!!

She was in the hospital for 2 months.

We were really lucky that she was very healthy when we brought her home and she stayed that way.

You sound like my dad. (This picture was taken in August.)

Dad always said, "Who cut the bottoms off your pants" or, "where'd ya leave the rest of your britches?"

You sure got that right Hanta Yo!! That is the best pain in the world.
I had all mine with out so much as a tylenol. I told sis in law she was a wimp. She took all the drugs they had available to her.

Hubby asked me after the first one if I would be a little more sympathetic with the cows now. I told him Heck no!! it wasn't that hard.
