Thoughts On A Bull

He's alright, I've seen better, I've seen worse. The markings will give you markings and the 1/8th Simmental will give you carcass and yield improvement. Depending on their management system and how he was raised, he may work for many years. Hard to say from pics.

I'd deduct for his 1)head 2) sheath 3)neck and that'd be enough
for me to pass. I don't think he has enough depth behind his
front leg either.........just sayin'.........

From what I can see of the "litter mates," I think my pick would be the bull in question. He carries quite a bit of style in my book. I also like horses with a lot of chrome, such as a dark sorrel with four stocking legs and a blaze face. If I used a bull such as this, it would just be on pretty common black ranch-type cows anyway, so it wouldn't even really matter.

Isn't it a great thing that we all don't see cattle alike?

Now I agree with you on the chrome on a pony!! I like that too.

How close was the fire to you, Soapweed?

The one on the Niobrara River south of Merriman was only a little over two miles from where some of our cattle are summering.
