Help Support Ranchers.net:

 is right

ONLY a 55lb variation in birth weight.

Looks to be slightly pencil gutted.

Not for me, Maybe he would work down in H's country where he could put those long legs to use running from sage brush to sagebrush.

Sorry but I dont think he would even make a good steer. No rear end and no gutts

Yikes! I think you best keep him up there to Canadia BMR! :DThose long legs will keep him from getting high-centered on a snow drift.

He might have long ol' legs but i'd rather he didnt pass them or anyhing else he has along.

Glad those nice folks like him though. :D

Here's one that I can certainly find some value in. He's got an extremely shapely top and upper hip, and doesn't look to be carrying anything in the way of excessive fat. Plus, his length of cannon indicates some extremely fast growing, late maturing offspring could be thrown if he's mated correctly. Ultimately, the more tradiational Maine-Anjou marking may be his finest feature. With show ring fads changing fairly often, his unique coloration may make his calves that much more flashy and valuable.

Always look for the good.

I'd like to see some decent pictures of him before I passed final judgement. Off the top I'd say if 2,900 lbs + is his working weight, he's bigger than I'd want. We had a 3000+ lb bull at one time and he didn't do anything exceptional with his progeny.
I kinda wonder what the heck the owners of this bull would be doing with a cow that weighed in in the 3,000 lb range though!
On a side note, it does have one strong selling point: it's not black

I think they need to take a better picture of him. He reminds me of the early 80's style of bull.

Looks like he should be able to run.

Tell us the rest of the story Yanuck.

Friend of mine shared this "find" so I thought I'd share with you all...hate for anyone to miss out on a opportunity to introduce some high quality gentics into their herd....it being bull sale season and all.... 8)

Yep I agree-- I think you would be much better off leaving the Maines and going to old bulls proven on both sides the 49th...

Much better off with the last bull you questioned...

and rather than playing the clubby calf game looking at some animals that can take you forward maternally ...
