Thoughts & Prayers to W. Virginia Miners

Some of ya'll might know that I used to work in a hard rock mine as an electrician. Every miner I have known in my life was simply the salt of the earth. Hard working, tough and rough but honest, humorous and kind. We lost a great man in the mine i worked at when a mucking machine crushed him against the rib of the drift. It is dangerous work no matter what kind of mineral they mine. I am so heart broken for the families and friends in those small towns who have lost so much. Miners and ranchers have lots in common. I'd hope we all might keep those folks in our minds and hearts. From a guy who has been on mine rescue teams and can't imagine the job that still must be done. God Speed and God Bless!

Thanks for your post, 'H. We have been praying for the families
who lost loved ones. It was certainly a tragedy.

We haven't heard about the 4 that were still in the mine.
Were they able to them out?

My dad worked in a mine in Kellogg, Idaho a long
time ago. What mine there exploded
several years ago? Was it the Sunlight Mine?
