Loaded up 5 heifers, and "Old Ugly" more commonly known now as "The Rug" She got dropped off at the processin plant. Mostly will be ground meat. But we are gonna have her hide tanned and she'll be a rug for my livin room floor. (She walked off and didn't take care of her calf this year.....she's done)

On to the vets, to get the five heifers bangs vaccinated. Lil Lilly had planned on raisin a pen of three Commercial heifers for the fair next year. But our local salebarn owner asked her if she'd rather sell them in December at his replacement sale. So that's what she's gonna do.
Sure does have a nice set up.

LOL Alotta folks in Texas are wishin there'd be a few more like this one. We need the rain baaaaadddddddd.

It makes for some nice grass when a tropical storm comes in and hangs around a few days. Specially this time of year.

Nothing grows grass like a tropical storm. I don't know what it is but it is like the water is full of fertelizer. Glad that you had no damage.
I think the cotton farmers did not fair so well though. The news this morning was that most of the south east texas cotton crop was lost.

I'll be anxious to see how your striped rug turns out! Knowing you, you'll probably come up with something really fun to do with that hide! Glad you got some moisture from "Dolly"...that name just doesn't sound like a hurricane..lol All them buzzards! What did they have their eye on? Great pictures...Thanks
