Cool! :D

Is she wearing tie on shoes, or boots?

Ever since they came out with them low heeled, laced on "so called boots" I've been afraid of someone getting hung to a horse and drug. I have a bad fear of that, tho' I've never even come close myself.

Guess maybe I drug to death in a previous life. Either that or I'm just a nervous Nellie!

She's wearin boots called "Pro Baby's" made by Ariat. They are specifically made for riding. Since their first boot that they came out with called Fat Baby's had such a big thick rubber sole that lots of youngsters had problems with gettin their foot hung in the stirrups. I never would let her have any of the Fat Baby boots, but when we went boot shoppin the last time she'd seen these in a catalog and I told her I'd give em a look.....I read the insert that came with them. They have a thin rubber sole, but it's slick on the bottom and will slid in and out of the stirrup good and easy. They also come off her feet easy.
It kills me to see kids or anyone for that matter ridin in somethin that won't come off their foot if they were to come off a horse. Skeery stuff I'm tellin ya.
That's one of my rules around here...if your gonna be on a horse, you better have on the proper foot attire.

I know a gal who was nearly killed over a lace up boot (the infamous "lacers") and a barrel horse --
it happens and it's bad business! She had enough brain damage that she didn't remember her 6 mo. old baby or husband --she eventually got reacquainted but never remembered.
