Texas Republicans are looking for activist judges to overturn the decisions of five or six other judges who have ruled in favor of the Dems. But as of now, he's on the ballot. He can actively campaign and might win. But if he does campaign, he has to report all the money given to his campaign, plus there are legal limits for contributions. If he doesn't campaign, he doesn't have to report who contributed and how much money to his legal fund. He needs a big pile of money for his trial because he might really go to jail if he loses. Duke Cunningham is in the slammer, as are two of DeLay's long time aides. Texas politics can be so interesting. I wonder if Bill Frist is sweating over this? Link below.
