Secession was not and is not "illegal". You are a fool if you think that while you live in this country. A willingly ignorant, intellectually lazy fool. OR you have an agenda. Secession may have been settled in 1865, BUT...you are just about to celebrate a Revolutionary secession from the Crown by men who would NOT be ruled. By men who would NOT be controlled.
This country was FOUNDED on secession. Remember? What kind of fool would DARE insinuate Confederate soldiers were "traitors"? One too stupid to live, or one with an agenda of control.......

Or "secession", as SEEMS to make sense?

Is there a 'typo', or a term with which I'm not familiar ("secessation") or what????

secede - quit an organization

cessation - to withdraw, end, or discontinue

So sorry you didn't grasp the little play on words.

Hmmmnnnn. Attaching "cessation" to "Secede" makes it sound as if we are going to withdraw or discontinue the act of seceding.

Words and their meanings and shadings of meaning can get interesting.

There is some interesting history on this continent for sure. You can't know one countries history without a good working knowledge of the others. I hope to have the time one day to be able to spend delving further into this history.

Let me see if I get this story straight. The north has to destroy the south to save slaves from inhuman treatment -just before the north engaged in genocide against the Native American peoples of the west. Hmmmm? What is suggested as a noble purpose freeing slaves seems to be contradicted by killing native children with small pox. Forgive my suspicions about the north's nobility.

Brad, if I recall correctly Small Pox was no respecter of race, being equally destructive of any children and adults encountering the germs.

If ALL the history is looked at, across ALL nations since known history began, it seems every hue of people have been guilty of killing and enslaving others, even selling 'their own race' into slavery.

It just seems to be a real case of when one's finger is pointed at a person considered guilty of a sin, we need to remember that leaves four fingers pointed back at one's self.

inescapably, the north committed genocide against the native peoples after the war of northern aggression. Thus, I can't believe the "civil war" was for the stated purpose of freeing slaves. I am well familiar with the error of transposing modern civility on history. I'm not suggesting that. I'm just saying it's curious to free negroes then kill natives. Makes me think the north saving slaves was an afterthought for a war with different motives.

Native Americans were much more susceptible to Smallpox because of no immunities being inherited or transmitted by breastfeeding. So were blacks.

Children were routinely used as donors for the illusive smallpox vaccines. A child injected with cowpox pustules would produce scabs which were diluted and injected into others as a vaccine. Those injected with the Smallpox live virus many times died. Older people were much more of a risk for spreading venereal diseases by their vaccine production. Syphilis symptoms were similar to Smallpox........

The annihilation of Indians by U.S. Army began before the "War of Northern Aggression", but Generals Sherman & Sheridan took it to new heights afterwards.

General Sheridan quote: "The only good Indian is a dead Indian"

The more Indians we can kill this year the fewer we will need to kill the next, because the more I see of the Indians the more convinced I become that they must either all be killed or be maintained as a species of pauper. Even among those who have come to the knowledge of the truth regarding Lincoln's illegal and unconstitutional war on the South, it is often said "Lincoln was saving the union" by his tyranny. This is what HE said and it is, just like everything else he said, a lie.
The original Union was a union of consent. This present Union is one of force. The original union was a partnership. The Founders had just successfully seceded the Crown and went into a voluntary union with the other sovereign states. Each state had its own laws, each state had its own currency and that is the reason each state had/has its own legislature. Ignorance of the original compact is what caused confusion at the time and right now. Immigrants coming to the country had nothing to compare our government with as all of Europe was either a monarchy, raw democracy or a dictatorship. And lies are taught in schools now, and very little of American history. Newcomers to the country are just as ignorant now as then.

The truth is the Union existed when there were only 13 states. The Union would have continued to exist without the Southern states. All the secession of the Southern states did was reduce the territory the Union previously encompassed. The Union continued to exist when there were only 20 states after the secession of the Southern ones.
So you see, the bogus and illegal claim of Lincoln "saving the Union", is also a line of............
You have been lied to. Aren't you sick of it yet?
