Where did the B1G go? Only one team left in the B1G that can go undefeated & be picked among the Top 4 Playoff teams. The other top teams will have at least 2 loses. No pressure Huskers. No pressure at all.

It's being floated that the top 4 playoff teams may very well consist of an ACC team, a PAC 12 team and two SEC teams............we'll see.

SEC - 8
ACC - 4
PAC 12 - 6
B1G - 3
Big 12 - 3
Indy - 1

4 - SEC West teams in the TOP 10. But that can't stand, they all have to play each other. Still doubt the SEC is the No. 1 Conference?

I never followed US college ball until the guys on ranchers started talking about it. What I don't understand is why the Huskers are not on that list as Sandhusker and a bunch of others always tell us they are NUMBER 1 :!:

Besides jigs I have a friend from Kansas that's a Wildcat fan so glad to see them up on the list :D

you forgetting about the national titles and Heisman winners, and all those scholar athletes???? Nebraska has all kinds of respect... much like Greece.

Greece was once a world power, just like NU was a football power.... but we only reference both in history books.....

Jiggsy, don't start. If we never win anything ever again, we'll still have more National Championships, conference championships, consecutive sellouts, academic all Americans, Heisman trophy winners, money, and class than those purple pussycats of yours could ever achieve. Not to mention our all time win/loss record over KSU.

Like the Man says, it ain't braggin' if you can prove it. The record books is all the proof needed, relevant or not.

Well, from what I could see, they forgot to tell McNeese State about all that sh*t.   If they did, it didn't scare them a bit.

No, but thanks to Ameer, we got the W anyway. I'll take it.

Better to get the wake up call last Saturday than next Saturday in Fresno.

FWIW, don't bet Jiggsy on the AU/KSU game. When you win, he'll just welsch on it.

He owes me a case of beer now. But he's good for it, no doubt.

All I got to do is drive up and get it.

will you be in Manhappiness for the game Mike?? should be a good atmosphere... I am guessing that Auburn will prevail, I am hoping to keep it close, or sneak in the upset....

if only we had a trophy room full of dusty titles like the cornholers in Lincoln.... that is such a powerful menacing thing for the opposing team to fear....

Johnny Rodgers won a national title and a Heisman.... but they never put his arrest record for that liquor store robbery in that case did they????

I ain't coming Jigs. I'll be on the couch for that one. Maybe it will be a good clean game.

I really don't know how good or bad Auburn is yet. They'll do some scoring, but will it be enough?

A couple of thoughts....

1. McNeese State is a better football team than anybody gave them credit for. My guess is Bama, Auburn, Oregon, KSU, or any other school would have found their hands full with them....and then they might not have got the job done! The teams you think suck, (like the Huskers), aren't as bad as you think, and the teams that you think their sh!t don't stank aren't as good as you may think....which leads me to thought #2...

2. In the last 15 years, there have been a lot of rule changes in the NCAA, and these changes have brought more parity into the game, letting some of the historically awful teams climb out of the gutter and begin to shine. Example: K State. Sure, coaching and recruiting are a big part of success, but the playing field is a lot more level than it was in the past. And Nebraska is partly responsible for that, for sharing our strength and conditioning programs with other schools.

Bonus thought...FEAR AMEER! Arguably the best back this year, and quite possibly the best running back...EVER. Look at his stats. I think the guy is untouchable. Then there's Westercamp, Kenny Bell, and the rest of the gang. You SEC and Big 12 fans can brag and blow all you want, but you may also get to see what crow tastes like come January.

Uh, Jiggsy, FYI, the only time folks from Nebraska go to Kansas is either for business or to get to another state. We don't go there to watch football.

The prettiest highway sign you'll ever see, no matter where, is the one that says "Leaving Kansas".

Where have I said the Huskers suck? All I said was the pressure is on now that the traditional powerhouse B1G teams are out of the national picture.

Now I get it. You're saying all the good teams are bad and the bad teams are good.

Glad you explained that to us.

Not quite....with the parity in college football these days, I don't think any team can be overlooked. There will always be creampuffs, like Florida Atlantic was for us, but then they might surprise the hell out of some other team and take them to the woodshed.

I remember a few years ago when Texass went to Laramie, and the Cowboys gave them all they wanted for the first half. Any team is beatable, on any given day, by a team that logic says doesn't have a chance.

I like what I'm seeing in Lincoln this fall. We may just end up surprising the hell out of a lot of folks.

I don't think Nebraska will make it to the play off. they just give away the easy games.... perhaps it is lack of preparation, not sure, but the weak Big 10 is not going to help them at all....

should have stayed, looks like you MIGHT have a shot at beating Texas this year....
