Top Ten Reasons Why Legislators Won't Adequately Fund Education

1. Kids can't vote.

2. Teachers don't make enough to contribute to campaigns.

3. We get more return from building highways.

4. This funding was OK when I went to school.

5. All the money goes to administrators.

6. If we provide more money for education our kids might really learn how to think!

7. Kids? What kids?

8. George didn't benefit and he did OK.

9. If you can't afford one, you don't need one.

10. Can't they all go to private schools?

I realize that was a tongue-in-cheek post, but I take exception
with Rule #2.

National Education Association is one of the strongest unions
in place today. That is part of the problem.

True. I despise unions, and it's because of unions we are finding more items made in China, Pakistan, etc.

Also a BIG problem trying to educate Indians on the Res. Costs more per student on the Res than anywhere else. The parents don't care if the kids go to school or not. So spend more money trying to start more programs for the Indians to get them to go to school :? Spend more money on special ed teachers just to get the Indian students to pass? :? Need to get after the parents :!:
