There were a couple of businesses that were not looted. Wonder why?

Nobody is robbing St. Louis Ink Tattoo Studio anytime soon. Or County Guns, for that matter.

The two north county businesses share a storefront in a Florissant strip mall less than ten minute drive from the epicenter of last night's riots in Ferguson. After nightfall, what began as a community's peaceful demonstration against the Ferguson Police Department's shooting of unarmed 18-year-old Michael Brown turned increasingly violent. Crowds plundered a QuikTrip and burned it to the ground, and local news began reporting brazen raids on other stores in the area.

After hearing of the roving bands of looters, Mike Gutierrez knew he had to protect his tattoo shop. He brought a posse with him, including Adam Weinstein, owner of County Guns, who was acutely worried about criminals getting their hands on his merchandise.

"We didn't want them coming in here and then running around with a bunch of free guns," Weinstein told Daily RFT when we arrive at the store around 12:30 a.m. this morning. Weinstein was outfitted with an assault rifle, pistol and tactical vest. Gutierrez cradled his own rifle in his hands.

Remember the Asians on top of the store wielding shotguns during the Rodney King riots?

Every other store around them got looted and burned. Nope. Not them.

What amazes me about blacks rioting is that they tear up everybody's chit. They don't care about another's possessions one iota.

ST. LOUIS, MO – DeAndre Smith, 30, of Ferguson, justifies the looting that happened in Ferguson. He spoke with Kim Bell of the Post-Dispatch on Monday morning as the burned-out QuikTrip still smoldered in the background.

I do not understand the mindset of people that will got out and destroy their own community. What good does it do to burn a business down that provides employment and supplies to the community?

And why is it these people only riot in the streets when a cop kills one of their teenagers yet sit quietly by well hundreds of young blacks are gunned down by other young blacks? Does life only means something to them when a cop takes it but not when one of their own is doing the shooting? :?

Then they wonder why people fear them?

well al sharpton's rival has stepped in so this one will be stoked for a long time..

for those wondering who I am talking about (take your pick,.. Crump,.. Holder,..

now the police gunned down a poor african American that was just walkin around a walmart ,..

One 911 call released by Beavercreek police was from Ronald Ritchie of Riverside, who was inside Walmart. He told dispatchers at 8:21 p.m. Tuesday that he saw a man “walking around with a gun in the store.”

Ritchie, an ex-Marine, said the man was pointing a black rifle at people near the pet section and that “he’s loading it right now.” Later, he said, “He looked like he was trying to load it, I don’t know.” He then added, “He just pointed it at two children.”

while his girlfriend/baby momma says it went down differently.. we should wait for the riots before we jump to any conclusions..

Hillary claims it takes a village. How would you like those villagers in St Louis raising your children?

My long-dead uncle was a parole officer back in Lafayette, Louisiana. One of his "north-side clients", asked him one day. "Mr. Vernon, what dey mean when dey say he a native of Lafayette. Ain't no natives in Lafayette."

He chuckled and replied, "oh yes, there are indeed natives in Lafayette."

Of course, who didn't hear of them? They were quite popular. Named after the river basin that will one day serve as the Mississippi River's main outlet to the Gulf of Mexico. Katrina/New Orleans will look like a walk in the park compared to what happens when that one takes place.
