Town Hall Meetings

Obama is changing the policy to where you can only go to his "town hall" meetings by invitation with a preferred RSVP???

He is in a deep hole and now he has going to make it a bottomless pit.

The tea folks are all up in arms.

The break room has never been so loud.

He needs to drop this and keep a low profile. He is going to take the whole democratic party into history if he keeps this up.

Let them keep trying to put out fire with gasoline. They won't listen if you tell them water works better. Bush would have used water so they are not going to.

There is an old saying about not being able to help someone who won't help themselves.

If they wanted money to feed hungry children, we'd probably give them all the money we have. That's not what they are after. They are making fat cats fatter and say they are going to give hand-outs to dead beats. The kids are going to continue to be hungry and they don't appear to care.

that's one I frequently forget. There's always a certain number of "write-offs" in the crowd.

Sad but true.

Gee Bush and Cheney in eight years never had enough guts to speak to anything but a hand-picked crowd of back-slappers. I guess Obama learned a thing or two from them now didn't he. :D :D

Yes indeed. We all thoroughly remember the media trying to make a total mockery of dubya again and again. There were the staged pictures of him moving etc. There was also the prime time, "No matter what you may think of him...."

But that was then and this is now. There has never been as much widespread outrage in my life time.

Bullhauler, your comment sounds like it is a competition or something.

"My Pres. can silence dissent, better than your Pres."

When the President calls in Unions/ACORN to silence concerned citizens, you might stop and take a look around.

watch the AARP video. they were actual members of the organization that were silenced.

I remember the dems marching with their signs of hitler and Bush with print underneath "Same $hit....different s$$ hole" and a little moustache on Bush and a big swastika on the sign.

He's calling for help because he can't handle the situation. All he is going to do is push it more out of control.

If the republicans were smart, they'd somehow get a dem to put a gun control issue on the table immediately. With today's confirmation, that's all it would take.

I remember that too. Anyone opposing them, even along street routes, were diverted off into parking lots at least 5 blocks away. And there was no way on earth that any kind of dissenter was allowed anywhere near when either one of them had speaking engagements.

I am disappointed that we are seeing a repeat of this...

sorry, I must have missed your point.

I went back and re-read it.

And you are correct Obama must have learned a few things from Bush and Cheny, the Obama administration is much better at ignoring the citizens.

Is it the right direction for the US?

I don't like it either but I can see the reason behind it though. Have a town hall meating about health care and first thing some loon will be screaming about a birth certificate.

Seems no questions are getting answered, and the excuse is because he can't release a BC?

is that what you are saying?

I see Hawaii made a statement today, that they never did release a BC.

They wanted to clear up the issue between the COLB and an authentic BC.

Thing is the polls are baking up this dissent! Democrats are trying to say it is all staged, but the polls have showed that maybe this is really how people feel.

What is the approval rate for Obama's handling of the Health care now, something in the 30 percentile? This shows that just maybe these are not staged that people really are worried.

Plus even if a few are staged and I am not sure they are, usually you see the whole room cheering behind them. I doubt that a Democrat Town hall somehow has only staged republicans in it.

When you saw Acorn or others interrupting meetings you did not see the whole audience behind them, usually everyone was being quiet until the nut was removed.

Plus Town Hall meetings are question and answer formats, the yelling and booing has usually came after a very controversy answer was given, like "we need to hurry this threw" People know there is no hurry and they also bit on this trick before and it proved wrong!

People are pissed and Democrats do not know what to do, they are scrambling.

Also polls have showed it is a large number of independents that are opposing and questioning this Health Care, that scares the Democrats.

You can not have the largest portion of the American Citizens happy with their Health care and then try to change it and those people be happy!
