Geez, aren't you lucky that your poor old dad got up a 530 to drive you down there and take pics for you  This was a big time meet, over 500 kids, some schools with more kids on the track team than Roundup has in high school, making a showing is respectable, placing is fantastic.

Daughter got up at 5:30 am to make the trip to Logan Ut.Her mother got to go and watch her take 2nd in pole vault (8ft). She clears 9 and 9.6 in practice but never dose at a meet.... yet.
I had to stay home and finish shearing, and the strat of lambing. I got to go last week to Preston Idaho where she took 2nd in pole vault at 8.6 ft.
Damn snow melted and uncovered alot of work, going to try and get calves branded and fences fixed and some field work so I can go to district and Wyoming State trackmeet....

that meet was in Colstrip. If you have never been there, they have a billion dollar sports complex, complete with a rubber track, indoor pool, indoor track, FFA has cattle, green houses, growth plots all on campus. Amazing what having a very large coal mine in the neighborhood can do for schools.

Lil Lilly opted not to participate in Track this year, with our county fair in June and Rodeo season gettin busy she decided she had too many other things goin to add that in there too.

you'd think with all the "old and new money" we have in this town that we could have something like that too, but NOOOOOO.....we are more worried with making sure that we have brand-spanking-new uniforms for all of our sports teams each year and a new coating on the gym floor and yet another new "coach-style" bus for our athletes to travel in (meanwhile, our kids are reading out of 10 year old textbooks and our teachers are some of the lowest paid in the state)!!! Having a complex like the one in Colstrip brings in the tournaments and, therefore, the REVENUE that many smaller schools need!! Bravo for colstrip!!
