Has anyone had any experience with this set up? Bought one today and was just wondering about real world experience.

Wondering what the thickness of the large plate is.
They're about 1/3 the cost of a B&W, but they might only be 1/3 as safe.
Just sayin'.

Drill in frame make spacers bolt it in hope the box will take it!!

My foster son has a pick-up with a home made one like that - - - the plate is 1/2" steel and the 4 center bed bolts were removed and replaced with longer bolts.

He has used it on 3 trucks now - - - the beds rust out under it and I swear it flexes under hard breaking but it has held up to all 3 trucks.

I have not cared for it from the start but it is hard to beat for the price.

That's the one. It's 3/8 thick and looks pretty solid.
