Training Iraqis

Entire article; link below; my emphasis.

"“The Iraqi government has arrested one of two Iraqi troops accused of killing two U.S. soldiers while the Americans were training them, a senior military official said Wednesday.
The June 2004 deaths of Army Spc. Patrick McCaffrey Sr., 34, of Tracy, and 2nd Lt. Andre Tyson, 33, of Riverside, Calif., were originally attributed to an ambush during a patrol near Balad, Iraq, but the Army this week said a military investigation found the two had been shot to death by Iraqi civil defense officers.
It was unclear how long the Iraqi suspect has been in jail, said the military official, who spoke on condition of anonymity. The second trainee is believed to be dead, the official said.
A Pentagon spokesman knew of no other similar incident and called it "extremely rare." -- Associated Press”

"Belived to be dead?" "Rare", but apparently not unheard of. What's going on that our troops training the Iraqi Army are being murdered by the very men they're training and someone covered it up for almost two years?

I would imagine this guy is being tortured. Just a guess.

We have had our own problems with traitors, Benedict Arnold being one of the first but recent spy scandals are proof that they continue to this day.

True. I'm waiting for the outrage from people who claim to "support the troops", Katrina, Faster Horses, Passin Gas, etc. They are surely outraged that an Iraqi would kill an American soldier while he was trying to help them. And that it was covered up for two years!
