Transporting Bulls

You have to test for TB and Brucellosis. You must acquire an export permit through a CFIA vet to the state the animal will be going to. The importing party must also acquire an import permit from their state vet. Most likely, the bull will have to be tested again upon arrival in the state, but that varies alot from one state to another.

Only way to determine cost is to check with your veterinarians. It seems to change like the weather. The permits cost nothing, just the testing. If I remember right, it's around $40-50 per animal, maybe more.

Montana and several states now require Trich testing too...Different rules for each state...Montana requires it on all nonvirgin and bulls over 2 years old.....
