Huffington Post uses the words "Trump GUTS 2 Protected National Monuments in Utah".
That was bad enough, but to read the comments--how could people think the federal government would know as much
about managing this area than the state of Utah? So discouraging.

I am in agreement with the Utah Republicans, I too, think it was a land grab by Clinton and Obama. "(Utah Republicans, who have an reputation to attack public lands" - with the slanting that goes on in these articles, no wonder citizens don't know what to think, the thinking is done for them--in print.)

To quote part of the article: "Members of Utah’s Republican delegation and other local officials who have a reputation for attacking public lands have blasted the establishment of monuments in their state, referring to them as federal land grabs by Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton. And they were quick to call on Trump to overturn or drastically shrink the sites.

Trump signed a pair of executive orders in April that threatened the future of 27 national monuments. At the signing ceremony, he said the designation of Bears Ears “should never have happened” and praised Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) for his “never-ending prodding” on the issue. And Trump boasted that he would end “another egregious abuse of federal power,” put “states back in charge” and open up protected areas to “tremendously positive things.”

YIPEE! WAHOO! YEEHAW! I am dancing a jig and happier than a democrat in a welfare line!!!! Proud of San Juan County, their commissioners, our congressional delegation, Secretary Zinke and President Trump!!!! Hey Bill Clinton and Barack Obama..... I will be standing on my front porch with my butt cheeks exposed ready for both of you to KISS MY BUTT! Same goes for SUWA, Grand old broads for wilderness, western watershed project, the sierra club and the out of state indian tribes who suddenly decided OUR land was sacred to them in Oklahoma!!! And the outdoor retailer company called Patagonia can go straight to hell for all I care, after busing in protesters for todays event! This will now be in the courts, just like every other time the radical enviros jacka$$es don't get their way! I hope the Supreme Court tells them to piss off someday when it gets there. Me too! That's why I posted it. I would love it if you would post that exact wording in the comment section of the article! That was just such a great reaction. I remember well how upset you were when Obama took that land; tried to find your actual post, but couldn't locate it.

It was a Hallelujah moment when he signed the order. Sure made the libs mad. :D

Article said Orin Hatch kept bringing it up. :D Nice to know LOCAL input can still change things.

FH, thanks for sharing the info. It's so hard to get facts about so many things we really need to understand and FIGHT. Seems we are constantly bombarded with attacks on constitutional government and our rights as states and individuals. It is easy to slip into the 'what I don't know won't hurt me' mode, failing to realize just how much we can be hurt.

leanin' H, enjoy this victory and use it to strengthen your resolve for the 'rest of the battle'. Because there is no doubt all those activists will gear up and throw even more money and marchers into the fray. It is so sickening that so many government leaders and agency personnel are involved on the wrong sides of these issues.

Wouldn't it be great to see a requirement that all the activist 'Indians' be required to clean their own nests, especially the Reservation towns, before they can make the claims of "loving mother earth"?????
