radical "anythings" are dangerous. Doesnt matter who or what the "calling" is. I have a girlfriend who chose to become a wickan. Her parents are what you would call radical christians. She was held down and had a huge 'S" carved into the back of her head in front of friends and other family members. This horrific assault was done by loving christian parents. Like I say radical anything becomes dangerous. Incidentally while I know nothing about her religious beliefs, K is one of the most grounded, gentle souls I have the privilege of calling "friend".

Thanks for the warning Kola :),

I'm pretty tough and REALLY stubborn. ( I know , I know you are all totally shocked and surprised :p) I get my fair share of nasty PM's don't worry. For some reason though, people seem to PM me when I color outside the lines and they jump on your head publically. Kind of odd how things work :) My opinions are mine alone and I dont expect to change anyone's. There are some crankmeisters on the board to be sure but there are more good ones than bad :)

The Moonies had a bunch of couples who had never met marry in Madison Square Garden (I knew one of the women). Polygamist Mormons killed their sister-in-law and 18 month niece because they believed God told them to.
Although I agree radical anything is not good,I don't believe this had to do with radical Christianity...this was a mental disorder.

Do you know the reason behind the S? I know nothing about this religion.

Yes, It was an "S" to mark her as Satans own or some damn thing. Just sick if you ask me. I just cannot believe how well balanced she is, very little evidence of her early childhood trauma. It is my understanding that wickans are very gentle people. (I dont know anything about the religion) Worshiping mother earth is the basis, sort of like our aboriginal culture I would say.

I would call my folks radical christians but they would never hurt anyone. They do not watch tv, listen to the radio. Playing cards are not permitted in the house. My brothers church speaks in tongues and barks like dogs that sort of thing. Typical penecostal stuff. But nothing that would harm another person.

I wouldn't know about that Judith the first and only time I went to one of those churches where they scream, holler and act like they are having some kind of fit it liked to scared me to death still get shudders thinking about it.

I was raised ducking and trying to escape those type of services. It freaked me out as a kid and it freaks me out as an adult. It is the main reason I don't belong to a church. I believe, don't misunderstand me but organized religion is not my cup of tea. I have been to some really fun Baptist services in Southern Alabama. If they could bring the church up here I would go in a heart beat! Never had so much fun singin in all my life! And you should see the hats the ladies wear! Nothing like being the only white person in a crowd :)

I would say that is using the word Dangerous loosely. Sure it might not be good if a mom is radical and will not let her kid play out side due to they might get germs and get sick. But would you call that kind of radicalness Dangerous?

When people talk about Radical Religions being dangerous it is a little more literal in meaning. At one time Radical Christianity was dangerous to people but then we progressed out of the stone ages. And now the only time a person could say Radical Christianity is dangerous is just a hand full of mental weirdo's that are not the norm of the religion, like say Jim Jones for example.

But when we talk about Radical Islam it encompasses Millions of believers and the top leaders of the religion that those people follow blindly. Much like the Pope would have been back in Medieval times.

In a nut shell these radical Muslims encompasses millions of people that still want to live back in the stone ages. And want everyone that is not a believer to convert, be a slave or die and it seems they prefer the die part. And this is not just the Radicals this is what the KORAN teaches the book they all believe in.

There is two types of Muslims, those that are dedicated to their religion and want all of us dead, and then there is the Sunday Go to church only, weak with non conviction Muslims. Those that are lukewarm about there religion. Because if they were devout Muslims they would want us dead, since that is what the KORAN teaches it is a foundation of there religion.

Now that is a Radical Religion that is Dangerous!

Barbara Walters Calls Donald Trump “Poor, Pathetic Man”, High-Fives Rosie O’Donnell

Monroe, Ga. 1/10/2007 7:50 PM GMT (FINDITT)
Barbara Walters has apparently had enough of Donald Trump and his assault on her co-host Rosie O’Donnell saying, “You know, he just can't - he just can't let go, but we're moving on.”

Trump has been involved in a highly publicized verbal spat with Rosie O’Donnell ever since she criticized him for his decision to allow Miss USA Tara Conner retain her crown. Conner had been spotted drinking in several New York bars while underage and carrying herself in a manner not quite up to the standards outlined by the pageant, a pageant owned by Trump.

Trump made the rounds on the television talk show circuit and fired back at O’Donnell, calling her “disgraceful, a horrible human being, a terrible person” on the Larry King Show, and then told Anderson Cooper “Rosie is an unattractive person. She's a slob. And you know, how she gets this girlfriend I don't know. But I look forward to the day that Kelli leaves her because Kelli, if you're listening, Kelli, and I'm sure you are, you can do much better.”

The star of “The Apprentice” went on to say that Barbara Walters had told him that working with O’Donnell on ABC’s “The View” was like “living in hell.” He went on to say that Walter’s was desperate to get O’Donnell out.

Walters countered Trumps statements last week saying “nothing could be further from the truth,” and Rosie had brought a spark to the television ratings for “The View.”

According to a letter Trump sent O’Donnell, Walters had lied to both of them. Trump’s letter indicated that Walter’s had called Trump while she was on vacation and tried to quell the dispute, saying “Donald, never get in the mud with pigs.”

Walters has denied she ever said the things that Trump has claimed. That led to Walters short quip on her show “poor, pathetic man.”

I need to get a Satellite and start watching Italian TV. :)

This whole Trump vs Rosie battle is a ploy for both of them to get ratings. Trump has his new Apprentice about to start and the View is probably getting record ratings. Everyone tunes in to see what is next.

But I am getting tired of it, if they do not stop I am going to quit recording the View and watching it ever day, Rachael Ray will have my loyalty

The first night of Trumps Apprentice was down something like 25% from last season's opening... Nohting to do with Rosie however, I think that genre has probably run its coarse, thankfully as I hate reality TV.. there is nothing "real" about it.

As far as Italian Tiv... mamma mia...
