But if you ask anyone but you die hards in the US they will tell you that the US needs to get a NATIONAL ID SYSTEM in place and every delay puts you just that much farther behind the rest of the world including CANADA.

Then why aren't you exporting to the rest of the world :???: -- why are you complaining because the US won't take these "miracle cattle" and put the USDA stamp on them and sell them for you :???: :? .......You are a sovereign nation- test them and sell to the Asian rim- or did NAFTA sell out the identity of Canadian beef and most of Canadas sovereignty-- and you can't do anything without asking the Corporate world if its OK--Good old One World Order

Frenchie-- Did you ever ask why the packers and retailers have to take the Canadian or foreign country labels and marking off :???: :???: Could it be it doesn't sell as good without the USDA stamp and passed off as a US product :???: Some US rancher groups are proud enough of our product to fight to have it labeled as a product of USA and to require imports to be sold as such......

I posted before Oldtimer that I emailed the Lawyer that was suppose to be representing the Sask producers to see just who he is and I never got an answer. So I'm not sure it is the producers that are sueing the Government. If it is the producers and this lawyer is to represent us why isn't he answering the emails inquiring to what he is doing on our behalf? :???: Why hasn't the largest Beef organization in Canada been contacted by these lawyers? :???: Why haven't they approached the Provincal Beef organizations to get support for their so called producer supported class action lawsuit? :???: They are to be representing 100,000 producers but no one seems to have any answers to who these lawyers are. :roll: And as far as lawsuits now that the US has a native case by the way it looks, how many lawsuits will be filed against the US government for not protecting the US industry. With all the Government investigations of how the US system is not up to the high standards that some in the industry would like to boast about, looks like there will be lots of blame to throw around the courtroom. :shock:
And Oldtimer do you still want MCOOL now that the US Beef industry has a native case and R-CALF has been busy pointing out all beef from countries affected by BSE is tainted? Do you think those that believed R-CALFs fearmongering will now eat US Beef or will they choose imported from a country that has higher standards like Canada? :wink: If your firewalls couldn't protect the consumer from Canadian imports how will it protect from the domestic cases? :?

Always wondered how Canadian slaughtered beef could be so safe, but Canadian manufactured drugs are considered to be so dangerous :? :???: The government ads call them all "third world drugs" :???: :???:

I've spent a fair amount of time hauling cattle to-thru and around Montana both with Montana ranchers and cattle I exported there-I never saw any evidance that your brand inspection was any better than what we have here in Canada. Maybe you should visit and learn a few things before you spout off.
