There are 65 names on your "tainted Republican" list. If Kola's Google machine works, there were 44,800,000 registered Republicans in the USA in the year 2000. If my calculator with all the numbers wore off works, this figures out to .00014 of one percent that are "bad" Republicans. That really isn't too bad of a ratio. Can the Democrats impress us with anywhere near that ratio of good Democrats to bad Democrats? :)

Perversion is not a party-specific problem. I'm sure you could find just as many Democrats if you took the effort. Neither is more guilty than the other due to affiliation - I don't think either party condones a man having sex with a child.

Whatever became of the Gary Condon thing? Did they ever find Chandra Levy? Was it 9/11 that came and swept this under the rug? Something did.

Perversion is bad enough. Murder is even worse. Just ask Mary Jo Kopeckne's(sp?) parents. I wonder if they vote Democrat.

I wonder why the LIAR even posted this. Just him trying to imply that Reps are the dirty ones. So sad that the Dems have such a hangup with this gay issue.
Did they have a hangup when Barny Frank had his male prostitution ring problems. Did they call for his resignation, I think not. On the other hand you see many Reps calling for Craigs resignation. Come on you lefties get with the program and be consistent.

I can easily tell you why-- HYPOCRISY-- The Democratic party is not the one actively campaigning itself to be the Party of the Highest Christian Values- the party that says homosexuality is immoral and is trying to ban it....The party that believes all lawbreakers should be locked up and the key thrown away forever (but then don't follow their own beliefs--remember all the illegal immigrants and all their buddies that are hiring them- remember a fellow named "Scooter" ).....
I always thought of the Republican Party as the "law and order" party--but not anymore...The last 6-7 years their image has become more tied to "GREED"--profit, no matter who else is negatively affected- or how badly we have to bend the laws and Constitution.....

Remember Newts "Contract with America" that brought in all the Republican followers :???: Tougher enforcement of ALL laws, balanced budget, decreased federal bureaucracy, term limits, welfare reform, balanced budget, decreased federal involvement in the UN, and less use of US troops in peacekeeping missions etc. etc..... Well I don't think many in the White House or on Capitol Hill do anymore....The Republican party of today is not the Republican party I've know for many years.....

And its kind of hard to blame it all on the Democrats when the Repubs controlled the Hill for 12 years-- the White House and Hill for the last 7- and still control the Administration- which should be setting some direction for this now stumbling/fumbling party....

Man this is good
The Democratic party is not the one actively campaigning itself to be the Party of the Highest Christian Values
Since the dems do not "actively campaign" for value then they do not have to live up to any standards. As Gomer Pyle would say GOLLLEEEEEE.
And yes the libs are hypocrites, Barny Frank says it all.

As far as parties and what they were years ago, neither are what they were years ago.

And yes there are many reps who are greedy as many dems who are greedy, no party is immune from being greedy. The problem is not the GREED it is the l;ack of morals that make Greed a dirty word.

For anyone to imply this a just a Rep problem, well I guess I would have to call them stupid

Your correct Larry-- neither of the parties are close to what they used to be...And this is not just a Republican problem-- but it becomes magnified when its a Republican involved because of the image they try to promote- the "we're holier than thou" image--which personally I don't think they've done a very good job of living up to......

And I don't think you'd see so many Republicans jumping on the "dump Craig" bandwagon if they hadn't expected this for years...

One of the reasons we need "term limits" so these guys don't get so entrenched that they don't/won't keep their own houses clean....Now its a You don't tell what I did- I won't tell what you did situation....

Yep-- and (R) or a (D) besides someones name doesn't mean they're a good person or a bad person-- the reason I've always said you got to look further than that....I never could understand these folks that vote straight all 1 party....No wonder the idiots we end up with in D.C....

I'm wondering if the Rep. politicians are held more accountable because they are hypocritic when they do something immoral then are the democrats also hypocritic when they do something moral?

I say anytime they find a politician who is a lying cheating imoral fool, throw them out on the street.

You moderates that are aginst immorality and child exploitation should support this bill.

Representative Marilyn Musgrave (R-Colorado) is sponsoring a bill that would prohibit the access of child porn. The Child Pornography Elimination Act of 2007 (HR 3148) would also impose mandatory criminal penalties for possession of child porn and increase civil penalties for Internet service providers that fail to report child porn to law enforcement. In addition, it would provide mandatory restitution for child pornography victims.

The congresswoman says the new leadership on Capitol Hill has different priorities, and that protecting children should be their highest priority. "I'm frustrated with leadership, and I hope that they will take action on my bill and a number of other bills that address child porn and these victims who suffer for the rest of their life," says Musgrave.

According to Musgrave, child porn is an "incredibly profitable global enterprise."

"The technical sophistication of these heinous criminals is just staggering," Musgrave observes, "and children who are used in this just hellish industry are just some of the most pitiful victims of abuse and molestation that you would ever see. And you know, unfortunately, around the world in many countries it's not even criminal activity," she says.

The Colorado lawmaker says although current law prohibits the possession, trafficking, or transport of child pornography, the Internet allows pedophiles to view the material without actually downloading or printing it.

What I have mostly heard on the news today with Craig's scandal is that he was also for "illegal immigration" ............. that's going to come back and haunt every congressional person that voted for it (and it should, as they should be ousted), but they practically put it in the same sentence with his scandal.
