Tsarnaev family received $100G in benefits

Lovely. More true government leadership in action. How the welfare pimps and those who support them can show their faces in public these days is beyond me. Fortunately for them, they don't possess the shame gene.

Now we know why the MA gubmint wanted to shut down the flow of information about these murderers which it turns out were funded by gubmint.

The Tsarnaev family, including the suspected terrorists and their parents, benefited from more than $100,000 in taxpayer-funded assistance — a bonanza ranging from cash and food stamps to Section 8 housing from 2002 to 2012, the Herald has learned.

The breadth of the benefits the family was receiving was stunning,” said a person with knowledge of documents handed over to a legislative committee today.

The state has handed over more than 500 documents to the 11-member House Post Audit and Oversight Committee, which today met for the first time and plans to call in officials from the Department of Transitional Assistance to testify.

“I can assure members of the public that this committee will actively review every single piece of information we can find because clearly the public has a substantial right to know what benefits, if any, this family or individuals accused of some horrific crimes were receiving,” said state Rep. David Linsky (D-Natick), the committee’s chairman.

Linsky’s committee has requested documents from the DTA, the state’s Medicaid director and Health and Human Services Secretary John Polanowicz. But so far the committee has not released the records publicly, citing a privilege the DTA is asserting under state law.

Transitional assistance officials also told the Herald tonight that the agency was conducting its own investigation into whether Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s family ever notified the DTA about his extended trip to Russia, and has since expanded its probe to include a full history of the benefits received by the entire Tsarnaev family.

Department of Transitional Assistance.

Doesn't that have a lovely ring to it? What a bunch of self-serving crap all in the name of taking resources from productive US citizens and passing them on "transitionally" of course, to those who will live off that assistance for generations, and now, even use the funds to murder.

Thanks True Government Leadership.

The immigration bill introduced to the Senate a week and a half ago would, if passed, allow illegal immigrants to access state and local welfare benefits immediately, Breitbart News has learned. The financial impact of allowing potentially millions of immigrants onto state and local public assistance could overwhelm these programs' budgets.
Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) uncovered this loophole in the bill and many others, and he will circulate a memo detailing the gaps in the bill on Tuesday. Breitbart News exclusively obtained a copy of the memo before its public release.
“The Gang of Eight made a promise that illegal immigrants will not be able to access public benefits,” Sessions said in a statement to Breitbart News. “We already know that, once granted green cards and ultimately citizenship, illegal immigrants will be able to access all public benefit programs at a great cost to taxpayers. We have, however, identified a number of loopholes that would allow illegal immigrants to draw public benefits even sooner than advertised.”
If the bill were signed into law, America’s 11 million illegal immigrants would be legalized within six months, when Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano submits her border security plan to Congress. Illegal immigrants would immediately be eligible for Registered Provisional Immigrant (RPI) status, making them legal to live and work in the country.

Mike, while it's terrible that 3 people paid with their lives and hundreds were maimed by these goons, if nothing else their actions have shed light on a system that is out of control....literally, out of control.

The mission is NOT to help people get through tough times, the mission is to put as many people as possible on the gubmint teat and keep them there because they'll likely vote for status quo.

Ever heard of a gubmint agency that wants to end its own existence? I can't think of one.

Fixed.

You folks can whizz on the ashes of the US you knew. It's over.

Hmmm. Yet since Jan 2009 he's been oddly silent on the issue of the economy with the exception of talking about steel mills needing time to get geared up for the coming boom.

How maany of these people were american citizens again?

for actual needed assisitance, $10, 000 per year does not seem like much, for a family, but for non-citizens...

funny thing about Dems....they like to claim that the immigrants (legal and illegal) they want to freely allow into the country, will work hard, to provide for themselves, without government assistance etc., but when it comes to American citizens...it's, "you didn't build that".

something tells me they aren't telling the truth.
