One thing for sure; we can't duck the weather and we don't know what
it will be, til it IS.
A friend at Ekalaka changed his calving date to April 15 and still got
hit with a bad storm. Now he does mid-May; but he still has problems because now he is calving on alfalfa.
It seems late April to May is a good time. Especailly if you can get
them calved out by June 1. Seems to me that if calves are born after
June 1, they never amount to much in the fall. I think their system
isn't ready for green grass that early and when their system can
handle it, the grass is no longer green. FWIW.
