2010 two full sisters both had twins out of two differnt bulls. One had a set of bulls and the other had a set of heifers. Both cows rasied them.

Does anyone know of some one or university that is doing any twinning expermients that may want these calves.

I don't think it's anything special. I would bet it's caused more by you doing a good job in the feeding prior to breeding. We don't get alot of twins and I really don't want them anyhow.Give me one good angus calf and I'm happy.

I agree with with Denny. When I get a twin I usually take the smaller one away and feed it until I need a spiker. Any time I make a cow raise two calves she usually ends up being open or late the next year. Plus both calves end up being lighter at weaning time.

MARC in Clay Center, Nebraska has a herd of research cows selected just for twinning. I think ABS even marketed semen on a couple of the bulls years ago.
