The Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America summit in Canada released a plan that established U.N. law along with regulations by the World Trade Organization and World Health Organization as supreme over U.S. law and set the stage for militarizing the management of continental health emergencies.

The "North American Plan for Avian & Pandemic Influenza" was finalized at the SPP summit last week in Montebello, Quebec.

At the same time, the U.S. Northern Command, or NORTHCOM, has created a webpage dedicated to avian flu and has been running exercises in preparation for the possible use of U.S. military forces in a continental domestic emergency involving avian flu or pandemic influenza.

With virtually no media attention, in 2005 President Bush shifted U.S. policy on avian flu and pandemic influenza, placing the country under international guidelines not specifically determined by domestic agencies.

The policy shift was formalized Sept. 14, 2005, when Bush announced a new International Partnership on Avian and Pandemic Influenza to a High-Level Plenary Meeting of the U.N. General Assembly, in New York.

The new International Partnership on Avian and Pandemic Influenza was designed to supersede an earlier November 2005 Homeland Security report that called for a U.S. national strategy that would be coordinated by the Departments of Homeland Security, Health and Agriculture.
-----
WND could find no evidence the Bush administration presented the Influenza Partnership plan to Congress for oversight or approval.

No NAFTA Super Highway? Don’t believe ’em

In Quebec Canada, at the “secret” SPP meeting held by President Bush, Canada’s Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Mexico’s President Felipe Calderon, the media was made aware in a VERY controlled news conference (where a few reporters were allowed to ask questions) that “conspiracy theorists” who thought there were plans to create a North American Union and Super Highway were basically nuts.

At the SPP gathering, they were only talking about mutual concerns to insure ongoing trade in the event of attacks, “harmonizing” things.

Anyone who is curious and questions what is already in the works apparently amuses our president. Not only was there nothing going on at this “secret” meeting, other than trying to work out common problems and protect trade against terrorist attacks, Prime Minister Harper of Canada blurted out with no disagreement from the other two leaders: “There’s not going to be any NAFTA Super Highway connecting the three nations, and it’s not going to go interplanetary, either.”

OK, judges, can you give a 9.8 for humor? I’m so glad the prime minister clarified that. I was just sure they were building the highway up to Mars!

Indeed there is no plan; no one has ever really talked about a Super Highway and North American Union, so perhaps Rep. Duncan Hunter had a very confused and bad day when he said the following recently: “This 12-lane highway, which is already under construction in Texas, will fast-track thousands of cargo containers across the U.S. without adequate security. These containers will move from Mexico, a country with a record of corruption and involvement in the drug trade, across a border that is already porous and insufficiently protected.”

The other elephant in the room that our glorious leaders apparently ignore is the universal disdain for even the thought of a North American Union.

According to Patrick Wood (www.augustreview.com), the vast majority polled in a recent Harris poll and asked: “Do you think globalization is having a positive or negative effect in your country?” Less than 20 percent in the UK, France, Spain and the U.S. viewed it as positive.

The vast majority of folks want sovereignty protected, borders secure, our legal decisions made from local to Supreme Court rulings reflecting our national bill of rights and legal precedents. NOT international decisions and the UN!

Most folks DON’T think it is helpful, right or even sane to steal ranch after ranch, cutting many in half, grabbing nearly a million acres in rich land to slice up for a “Super Highway.” Oh yeah, the one that’s not happening. I guess those in Texas who have been fighting to keep their land and ranches intact are on drugs.

Of course, I’m a conspiracy theorist because I do a national radio show. Those urban legends and my natural paranoia just click like magnets!

Rep. Duncan Hunter was also recently quoted as saying: “Unfortunately, very little is known about the NAFTA Super Highway. This amendment will provide Congress the opportunity to exercise oversight of the highway, which remains a subject of question and uncertainty, and ensure that our safety and security will not be compromised in order to promote the business interests of our neighbors.”

The amendment Duncan was referring to was the Duncan Hunter Amendment, H.R. 3074, which would prohibit the use of federal funds for participation in working groups under the Security and Prosperity Partnerships, including the creation of a NAFTA Super Highway.

The bottom line with all this movement toward a “globalist” agenda is corporate greed; businesses which would rather have cheap/slave-like labor rather than hiring willing, U.S. workers; international control over chunks of nations, dummying the U.S. masses down, and always using manipulative language like “harmonization,” “protection against terror” and “helping the poor.”

I am ALL for helping our neighbors and others in need. We have always reached out to other nations and people in need! This is way deeper and more sinister than that! Its about greed and control. Are you ready to give up and submit your fossilized bill of rights to an international cult of international control? I’m not!

I am all for "free" trade,..but not at the expense of American trade..

I see the benefit of helping our neighbors,... but not blindly or though misguided trade agreements that cost US our sovereignty,..

When we give up the right and power to decide, and the authority and jurisdiction, we will no longer be politically free, losing our autonomy, freedom, independence, liberty, and ability to self-govern. (kinda like giving authority to a congress that ignores US)

But I still think the whole highway conspiracy thing as over-reacting...
