That's a handy looking rig. :D

There is one for sale in London Ont. at a Ritchie Bros auction coming up soon.

It is a handy rig BMR. We've used it to pull a 24 disc plow as well as bush hogging and cutting pasture. It's also equipped with a 10 ton winch and an air compressor.

That dump feature also works to either side as well as the standard dump truck drop in the rear. It holds 4 loads from my front end loader which sure beats the heck out of me scooping up a load and delivering it with the tractor. We accomplished yesterday in 2 hours what would have probably taken me two days with the tractor alone.

I'd be interested in a linky to that one in London Ont if a link is available. Just wondering what they sell for elsewhere.

This is as much of a link as I could find. I thought I should be able to find a listing for the sale.

I think Volvo makes something similar. Not for USA market though.

They are handy. Anything with Medcedes on it is spendy on parts.

Then you would have to drive it out here and your hay would get over ripe.

Wonder what it would sell for? :)

Well I know it would be one heck of a stretch for you to think of this, but you could come this way and pick it up!

Hi Big Muddy rancher and Whitewing,

You can find the Unimog in question on rbauction.com: http://www.rbauction.com/details-en_US/MERCEDES-BENZ-UNIMOG-406-4x4-Flatbed-Truck_2702038/ci

Driving a Unimog is definitely on my life's to-do-list. Looks like a grand old time!

We've actually sold quite a few Unimogs, mostly in Europe, and currently have three more in inventory: http://www.rbauction.com/search-results-en_US/Y2l8Tj0wJk50az1FcXVpcG1lbnQuZW4mTnR0PVVuaW1vZyZOdHg9/

The Unimog in our next London auction will be sold on June 16, with no minimum bids or reserve prices. You can bid in person at the London ON auction site, or online at www.rbauction.com. Note: you may be required to place a refundable bid deposit.

For more information, you can reach our London ON site at +1.519.425.4321.

Thanks for the info, Ritchie Bros should buy a ad spot on ranchers. Always somebody looking for something.
I have trouble with Ritchie Bros site and listings as they don't seem to give much information. I guess if your really in the market you can do more research but things like miles/hours and year on equipment is appreciated.

Thanks again BMr

That model sounds a lot like mine with the 3 way tipper bed though mine's much older. If I recall correctly I paid a bit less than $20K for it.

What did that Unimog sell for? Anyone know?

:( $8,000CN or $7,800US.

Boy I guess I should have sent Burnt up to buy it for me. That was a steal.

Not sure what condition that one was in, but it was much newer than mine. Sounds like someone got a really decent price.

Mine's doing something daily these days.....cutting pasture, hauling rocks, moving sand and gravel, etc.
