A lot of stats there FH. I wonder who contributes the most, unions or corporations, that most of those union members work for? Anyone have the stats on the corporations donations?

I was kinda wondering how many past presidents did NOT go after the union vote, given the stats and the dollars.

I suspect there will be a shift due to globalization. Unions are on their way out for the forseeable future. State governments are going bust and now our federal government budget is busted. There's simply no room left for union payolla.

Liveoak, I hope not, because our grandkids will be working for the same wages as illegals and then, maybe, not in our lifetimes but sooner or later, in America what we see happening in the Middle East will happen here. Some think unions may be on their way back but I doubt you'll see that on tv just as there was no warning about the Egyptian people's actions. JMHO

AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka

"I'm at the White House a couple times a week — two or three times a week," Trumka boasts in a new video posted by the Workforce Fairness Institute, a foe of organized labor.

"I have conversations every day with someone in the White House or the administration. Every day," he adds. "And that includes weekends, by the way."

If the US would enforce it's immigration laws already on the books and clean up their act everybody should be legal.

If taxes were paid by all workers and used prudently the USA should have the best standard of living world wide.
