I am not one to watch movies very much, but I noticed that the movie United 93 was on PPV last nite, so we watched it. Of course I knew the ending :( before the movie started, but I had a sick feeling all the way through the movie, and found myself going through many emotions during the movie. This was a very, very well done movie, with no apparent agenda that I could see, and I think it should be mandatory that we all watch it on 9/11, every year. I did really look forward to watching this movie, but when it was over, it re-ran on several channels at the same time, but I had no desire to view it again so soon. And it kept me awake most of the night, as it was so powerful.

Thinking about it after the movie ended, several facts were apparent to me. (I am putting this on coffee shop for discussion, and not looking for arguments, as we should all agree that we cannot ignore the threat from radical Muslims.)

It is impossible to reason with a culture that wants to kill us just because we do not subscribe to their religion.

Religion means more than life itself to a radical Muslim.

They will kill us if we show weakness.

Radical Muslims believe that intimidation (fear) is how they will wreak havoc on the US, and other countries. (Kicking them in the ass is the only language they understand.)

Most people can be heroic if the situation arises for them to be. (LET'S ROLL!)

They are also patriots in the same situation.

I have a first cousin, who lives near here, that has two of her sons in the Nat. Guard who will be heading to Afganistan very soon. And two other brothers from our same hometown are also leaving for Afganistan at the same time. I hope they stay safe.

I also want to thank sw's man, and others mentioned here, who are willing to volunteer so the rest of us can stay safe.

Go watch United 93 if you have the opportunity. It will awaken a lot of feelings from 9/11/01.
