Unparalleled in modern times

Is Barack Obama an imperial president?

President Obama’s use of executive action to get around congressional gridlock is unparalleled in modern times, some scholars say. But to liberal activists, he’s not going far enough.

The president (or his administration) has unilaterally changed elements of the Affordable Care Act (ACA); declared an anti-gay-rights law unconstitutional; lifted the threat of deportation for an entire class of undocumented immigrants; bypassed Senate confirmation of controversial nominees; waived compliance requirements in education law; and altered the work requirements under welfare reform. This month, the Obama administration took the highly unusual step of announcing that it will recognize gay marriages performed in Utah – even though Utah itself says it will not recognize them while the issue is pending in court.

Early in his presidency, Obama also expanded presidential warmaking powers, surveillance of the American public, and extrajudicial drone strikes on alleged terrorists outside the United States, including Americans – going beyond Mr. Bush's own global war on terror following 9/11. But more recently, he has flexed his executive muscle more on domestic policy.

Let's not forget that he is on the news everyday saying he has a pen and a phone and he is not going to allow the gridlock to stop him from pushing his radical leftwingnut agenda.

All we can do is PRAY his threats are not falling on deaf ears this close to an election that could lead to the only way to stop his pen and phone from destroying the US.

Republican House Passing More Bipartisan Legislation Than Democratic Senate

Oh you can count on that as the King of Gridlock Reid is not going to allow any votes that can be held against him or his Democrat members in any upcoming election no matter what Obama wants.

He messed up big time by allowing the Dems to put their reputations on the line for Obama and his Stimulus bill that was to fix the US economy by paying for shove ready jobs that turned out to be not so shovel ready and did NOTHING but pay off Obama campaign donors Hence the beating the Dems took in 2010.

He also allowed the Obamacare vote, that passed on the promise if you like your insurance and Doctor you can keep your insurance and Doctor that we all now know was a lie due to the regulations the Obama Administration had written into the law after the Dems all signed on and passed on a pure party line vote.

Obama not only shafted the American public with his lying to get what he wanted, he burned every Democrat that put their name on the line in support of bills the majority of Americans objected to.

We all know the Democrats will vote for Democrats and Republicans will vote for Republicans, the question is will Independents forgive all the lying Obama did to push his socialist agenda that is now destroying 1/6 of the US economy and has done nothing to create jobs to get the rest of the economy rolling or will they hold the Dems responsible for their voting records and vote Republicans to stop Obama's agenda?
