Unprecedented...

Russell George, the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA), said the targeting at the IRS his probe discovered was "unprecedented," and the closest comparison that came to mind was the targeting of political enemies by the administration of Richard Nixon.

"During the Nixon administration, there were attempts to use the Internal Revenue Services in manners that might be comparable in terms of misusing it. I'm not saying the actions taken here are comparable," he told a House Appropriations subcommittee. "This is unprecedented."

Danny Werfel the act head of the IRS also testifies and vowed he would restore Americans trust in the IRS after he admitted they broke the trust with US tax payers with their targeting those with differing opinions from Obama. But then when he was asked if anyone was being held accountable as in being fired he had to say no as even Lerner, who took the Fifth instead of testifying, is on PAID LEAVE. So she takes the fifth and is rewarded with a summer of paid leave. I sure hope she enjoys her summer off.

But to no surprise if you read some of the comments on Liberal web sites you will see that the IRS scandal is nothing more than something the Republicans made up to use against Obama and his Administration because they are nothing but a bunch of racist looking to bring down a BLACK PRESIDENT. Never might that it was the Department of the Treasury's IG that filed a audit report that broke the story.
