Energy Department Inspector General Gregory Friedman said Wednesday that he's overseeing 250 to 300 open criminal investigations into the "entire spectrum of DOE activities."
The DOE IG probes include about 100 reviews that specifically involve the more than $35 billion in economic stimulus dollars that the department received in 2009.
