Well, I always told my parents this site was an excellent learning tool. In any case, I need a hand with finding info on Curly Calf, or AM. I am writing a research paper on the fetal diseases of PHA, TH, and AM. I don't know how many Maine, Chi, or Shorthorn people visit these boards, so if you could give me a hand with AM, I'd be grateful. Also, any books and/or articles on the disease? I'd like to find some hard copy info on it, not just internet information. I'm searching the library, but info on this kinda stuff is limited. :? Thanks in advance for any help.

Go to this site- and search thru the threads...Weeks of reading on the issue, including many articles/posts by one of the lead vets from Australia- that brought it to enough folks attention the AAA finally admitted up and looked into it....He also is working on the Fawn Calf Syndrome- and a couple more cattle problems they think may be genetic..

Another good angus site with info is this one:

You might get to like those sites--both mostly about angus- and the 5 Bar X one has a lot of posters with opinions/preferences for the moderate lower input cattle like your Pharo cattle....

A lot of years of breeding/cattle raising experience on both sites- and even more opinions

I might have to go there when I feel the need for an argument. :)
