This is where you can make your settings so the forum is more how you like it. Go to the upper right and click on your name. It will open the User Control Panel.

As you can see you have several options.

The account details is more about you, like where to change your Avatar, update your email (which will send you another email to validate your account), Log Out.

Or Privacy, check that out.

The Ignore will show you who you ignore, not who ignores you.

And above the line is Your Content. Click on that and you can see where your posts and threads are.

Where is the Private Message option?

Private messages are now called Conversations in this software. If you look to the right of your name in the upper right corner of the page you will see an envelope.

Click on that and you will see a list of your latest conversations (PM's) at the bottom you will see See All on the bottom left and Start a New Conversation on the right.

If you do a start a conversation you will get a To: box for the member/s name, a Title and a message area. They look a LOT like the making a post in the forum.

When filled in, you can then click on Start Conversation.

One very important thing to know. At the bottom you can designate to lock conversation (no responses will be allowed.) That will keep you from receiving any replies.

What happened to our Avatar pictures?

They probably did not cross the two different platforms of software. You can go to the user control panel and then account details. Upload the avatar there.
