In Canada we celebrate Remembrance day. Thanks to all who keep our country free including my wives Grandfather who made it home intact from Vimy Ridge.

And another "thank you" to all who serve and have served!

We have seen many impressive services/ceremonies on TV today, including one on SD Public TV to kick off the state Highschool Football finals. They included a prayer of thanks, which impressed me, since I have little faith that Public TV will allow things faith related.

In about an hour, we will go to Midland to celebrate with local veterans at a soup supper honoring them. It is a nice way to honor them. There also is a special, and well attended, Memorial Day Service in Midland and our area towns where veterans are honored.

Maybe not the thread for humour but I have to ask.

Since you pluralized the word, did you marry sisters or cousins? :p

My hat is also off the bravefolks past and present who have served our country so unselfishly.

I had it singular in the original text and the spellcheck gave me a choice so I absently mindedly clicked on it. One wife is plenty. Most of the military folks I know like humor. :)
