And calling it a platform is using the term a bit loosely.

It's hard to hide extra fat even from a distance. Shadows don't lie. :( :?

At least these tanks in the same pasture are full and overflowing.

That actually reminded me of Yo'Sammity on the Bugs Bunny and Tweety show...Certainly a high dive act is not recommended. Thanks for the vertigo.

Soap do you ever have to push dirt back around your tanks from the cattle walking it down/punching it out? It's been pretty wet here this summer for a change and around a couple of our tanks it turned into a mudhole and got to the point that only the tall cows could reach - and there aren't many tall Galloway cows! We had to build it back up with some fill.

Thanks for posting Soap. With my liking for heights, I'm quite happy to not have that repair job.

Who knows? My epitaph may read...... He never climbed a windmill!

Do them tanks just have a dirt bottom?

Don't believe we have had enough wind to fill a water jug here all summer. Enjoyed the pics there Soap. Have a good one.

Yes, an annual spring ritual is going around with a tractor and loader to "bank tanks." This is piling up some sand around the outside edges of the water tanks. Cattle tromping to get a drink smooth out the sand later.

The tanks have either a plastic tarp-type bottom or several sacks of bentonite scattered and raked until it holds water.

Mine too. I got quesy just from photo's. Never had that problem until we built this house and the wind was blowing 40 mph about half way into putting up the roof.

I've got a 60' wind generator tower here in the yard. Climb that a few times and a 30' windmill tower doesn't seem any higher than standing on a chair.

Like the pictures Soap!
