I'd like to share a program that I listen to every week on the radio or online.
Stuart McLean has a great program with stories and songs.
These programs are close to 1 hour long, but you can still surf the net while listening.
Here are the Christmas concerts from 2008 and 2009.

2008

2009

There are lots of other Vinyl Cafe broadcasts from past dates there as well.

Stuart is one of our favourites, we try to schedule Sunday chores to last through the noon hour so we can hear his show.

You don't have to wait till Sunday, the new programs are posted here on Saturdays and you can listen to them anytime. I like this site a little better, at least it doesn't cut off the end of the show like the castroller site. The castroller site has more past programs listed on it though.

Now you have messed up Gcreeks Chore schedule. It used to come on after supper years ago. That was back in the Peter Zoski Morningside days. Now you know I am an old Fart. We have a local show with local musicians on our local radio station that is fun because we know many of the loco's that play on it.

Well it's funny that you would mention this program today - last night my wife, sister and I took in a live session of Stuart McLean's at the "Center" in Kitchener, On.

He did a pretty good job of entertaining the sold-out crowd and had some smashing good musical talent on display as well.

The link below is a snapshot of his performance, and that of the musicians. I hope to hear the guest singer/guitarist, Matt Anderson, again. He was awesome.

Hey, and per, even my kids remember a bit of Peter Gzoski. We used to listen to him on the way home from church every Sunday, and then rush into the house when we arrived home because we didn't want to miss a bit of his show!

Thats great that you got to see the show, burnt. I would have liked to have seen his show when he was in Prince George or Terrace in October, but travel time and work got in the way.
Matt Andersen is an awesome singer... probably the best Stuart has had on the show.
Here is Matt's website. Click on music and you can hear some of his songs.
