Sorry it took so long to get a reply

Nice...except for the white bags...

They all have black on them. They all have black around the eyes too.

It looks like you breed your baldies to Angus bulls, do you ever breed them to Hereford?

I have only had a few that got bred hereford over the years. One reason is the drought over the last number of years has always made me wonder if I can keep everything. If I couldn't I would sell them first and baldies bred hereford around here bring about a $50 discount.(bred charolais will get you a $50 premium) The other reason is it works out pasture wise. The same bulls to get a baldie breeds the baldies.

Those are my kind of cows after calving those mountain lions in a cowhide EXT's that last few years the baldies are a nice change. I'd say across herd our baldy cows are a condition score better most times of the year too.

Those are nice baldies  . Were they out of hereford cows?

The reason I ask is because they have good pigment, and when I tried herefords on my angus cows, I couldn't get pigment, and therefore didn't get too many replacements. My friend claims you need to breed a hereford cow to an angus bull to really get the pigment. Is this true?

The very reason for your post is why we (ok my dad bought but we get to use too) are putting some hereford bulls on our black angus cows this year.
