I don't think wal-mart can get away with supporting wierd-o's as easy as some businesses.
We'll see.
My wife came home from wal-mart last night and said she's about done shopping there. The skanky , scummy folks in vulgar T-shirts and welfare , wic, shoppers with their buggy full of junk food have about tipped her over the edge.

I quit Wal-mart years ago. I don't like their business practices and the store nearest us is filthy dirty.

But I don't have kids to clothe either. if I did, I might have to shop there. But it would have to be very necessary.

I was in a Kohls store in Rapid City. Now that's one nice discount store.

We aren't close to Target, so I'm not that familiar with Target.
It's not a store I choose when I'm in a larger town.

Our walmart store is store number 2. Mr Walton started his business family friendly and made his money off of families , it's a shame to see the company, now that he is dead, doing what he would have been against.
My wife called them and got a recording " due to larger than expected call volume...." This won't play too well here.

I used to really like walmart, and Sams club...but over the last few years it has seemed to have lost it's appeal.....not sure why, but I don't seem to buy much there any more.....My wife "shops" there but not as much....

All I know that every time I go to Walmart in Rapid, they never have what I'm looking for. And I'm always on a time thingy, so I just go to Target and they have it... Sheese, we couldn't find a coat for dean and it was late in the fall at Walmart. And other time at Christmas a friend and I were there and couldn't find any gloves........

You are of course free to shop any where you like. So am I. That's the great thing about capitalism , money is free to be spent as you see fit.

The other thank about capitalism is that merchants are free to choose which customers they advertise to and cater to and they choose based on the demographic studies of large groups with money to spend -- which is why you have seen increased advertising and campaigns aimed at black shoppers, Hispanic shoppers, and now gay and lesbian shoppers. Them's the facts of doing business.
On that note reader, do you not think that 2 or 3 percent of right wing radical idiots like me will be offended? Reaching out to the homo crowd isn't based on economics in my mind.
My point is that homosexuals make up 2 or 3% of the population. I think they (if this deal picks up any steam) could easily offend more than 2 or 3% of their customer base already. Walmart isn't abercrombie and fitch. they are small town , family oriented and will naturally have a more conservative base than some businesses.

what about coke ? not for the family?? dominino pizza? target? k mart? sears? go back and look at he list of companies that also contribute to the gay crowd! of course they also contribute to a lot of other people places and things just as wal mart does!

the 3-5% of THOSE people add up pretty fast when you figure the ones that support them !! family, friends and those that realize the world is not perfect and even though they are gay GOD still loves them, is that what it is all about ? tolerance? knowing that GOD and Jesus is willing to forgive!
while i neither am gay or is any member of my family gay nor do i support gay marrages, i do respect their rights to be judged only by the MAKER!!
not by mere mortals here on earth!
it is totally your right not to shop at wal mart or any of the other companies i listed it is also my right to shop where i get the best deal!
but sooner or later closed minds will run out of places to shop if thye follow this course!!!! but be sure before you shop at any store to see if they contibute :D :D :D
and i am sure that the list i posted is not complete

Do you even know what wic is? Because if you did you would know wic does not allow junk food to be bought with the vouchers they give out. It buys baby formula, cheese, milk, cereal, eggs, peanut butter, and such there is a specific list of foods the vouchers can buy. They even provide juice but it has to be real fruit juice the program is very picky about the nutrition quality of the food it will provide.

The WIC target population are low-income, nutritionally at risk:

Pregnant women (through pregnancy and up to 6 weeks after birth or after pregnancy ends).
Breastfeeding women (up to infant’s 1st birthday)
Nonbreastfeeding postpartum women (up to 6 months after the birth of an infant or after pregnancy ends)
Infants (up to 1st birthday). WIC serves 45 percent of all infants born in the United States.
Children up to their 5th birthday.

I don't know as much about welfare as you do. Can they buy junkfood with their money and buy their staples with wic?

RR - you should learn about WIC and be embarrassed.

Without WIC, the poorest children and pregnant women would have less nourishment and be a further drain on our healthcare system.
Horse hocky!! I know a couple very well who recieve wic . They make $40,000 per year and are very able bodied , capable , young folks. They do not need the money. They go to movies, they take the dog to the groomer, they drive nice vehicles, etc. Maybe you should reserve your liberal garbage for someone who isn't in an area that is poor. I know lots of good hard working people who make less than 20,000 per year that wouldn't take a penny from the government. I have a great deal of respect for these folks. You're liberal establishment has conditioned young families that they have to take the money...you know the wic commercial..(your baby has you, you have wic ). We are raising up a generation of government dependent young couples. I feel sorry for them.
For your lack of 1st hand knowledge reader, you should be ashamed.
