WaPo Promotes Story That 9-12 Marchers Are Racist:

Well, they are getting their message out. Not that the message holds any truth, but it will probably produce what they desire, if they say it often and loud enough.

"It' s not conducive to the coalitions we need to build in this country," said Vera Hope, 60, of Mount Rainier as she left a booth promoting health prevention. "I'm disgusted and upset by the hostility. Let's call it was it is -- it's just a disguise for right-wing racists. They are fomenting a climate of violence to provoke people."

the only hostility I saw was from a few lone liberals who wanted to provoke a response..and they weren't really hostile either.. just a bit flacky,. sorry but I didn't see any real hostility,

as for the racist signs.. I didn't see any.. and I read alot of signs.. I am sure there were a few... but even from what I saw on on the web.. they had to reach to believe that the signs were and racist..

but feel free to present "evidence" that it was hostile or that signs were racist..

It's the message that the liberal groups are sending out.

The "birthers" "teabaggers" "deathers", they are all racist, becasue they are against obama policies.

if they are successful in their desire to demonize these people, they will get their desire.

They are trying to create racial tensions.

What is their goal?

seems they want the status quo ... or the same thing.. just different painted color..

I knew the democrats wouldn't change anything for the better.. I had hoped the republicans would have,.. but they fell into the same bad congressional behavior..

sad really..

time for a new party.. BTW the largest yell was when someone said Ron Paul was at the rally... sadly it was not true..

seems the libertarian streak in the crowd outweighed them all..

The proff lis in the pudding about who is racist. 98 Percent of the black community voted for obama. Lots of white republicans voted for obama and are living to regret it just like many blacks regret voting for him.

The point of this thread was missed by Reader.

the WaPo went out to a Black Family reunion the day after the 912 Tea Party and asked them what they thought of the protest.

the message that is being sent out is that these protests are "racist" in nature.

the WaPo needed some evidence to back up their claims, so they went out and got it.

as Steve can tell you, that is not the case whatsoever.

If you are fine with the message being sent that these protests are racial in nature, then fine

"said the level of hostility toward the nation's first African American president had little to do with policy differences over health care or taxes and everything to do with race. "

FAIL.....MORON...

As they left the rally, many of those with opposing views walked through the Black Family Reunion, some stopping to eat at the booths.

not sure how a kettle can call a pot black...

but correct m if I am wrong... the black family reunion was for "mostly black" families. just by nature of what it is. and the tea party reaches out to all just by what it tries to represent.. and that is to lower spending, follow the constitution and reign in congress ..

but by the fact the two groups co-existed without any problems shows how far both groups can come .. and did...

if either group was racist having the two opposing groups on the same patch of grass would have ended differently then it actually did.. with tea party folk and family reunion folk enjoying some food and having a good peaceful time..

Yes, the article pointed out that the two groups co-existed.

How many articles did the Washington Post run on the Tea Party March? I would bet a number. I saw at least 3 myself.

This article's focus was not on the March per se but on this reunion and since it took place the same day, the reporter asked their opinion of the March and the anti-Obama feeling.

and what did they say? What was their opinion of the "marchers"?

Where did they get the information that they based their opinions on?

Reader, I explained the purpose of the thread, did you miss it?

Would you like to discuss it, or just keep counting?

it seems if your a liberal or a democrat the point of the thread is now to see how many articles you could find that called the ta party protesters racist..

and so far... I have yet to see any proof.. just liberal opinions..

yes, some of the signs are provocative.. but not racist.. not by any stretch..

you better take a look at who is doing the inciting, before it boils over.

it is obvious that the Tea Party protesters were not there because they are "racist", where did the reunion folks get that idea?

and is the article that I posted promoting the demonizing, by doing a whole story on it?
