According to Bloomberg, a message posted on a North Korean website relays that leader Kim Jong Il has told his military to "prepare for war," which is coincidentally what Obama told the US military
on Monday.

U.S. support for South Korea’s defense is unequivocal, and the President has directed his military commanders to coordinate closely with their Republic of Korea counterparts to ensure readiness and to deter future aggression.

Late last week, a team of international investigators accused North Korea of torpedoing the Cheonan corvette in March, killing 46 sailors in one of the deadliest clashes between the two since the 1950-53 Korean War.

Although the South Korean public is outraged about the sinking of the ship, it has no appetite for a military response to the North.

Analysts say China is willing to prop up the North Korean government rather than risk the isolated state's implosion spilling across its border and may be unwilling to further sanction Pyongyang.

looks like those with no appetite for war, or who are unwilling to deal with North Korea will soon be left with no choice..

he ordered the sinking of a warship... an act of war... does South Korea and China really believe appeasement will work?

China will support N. Korea just to stave off the U.S.. N. Korea knows this and this is why they constantly beat their chests. Without the U.S. military, S. Korea would have already been over-run. Shades of Vietnam.
