Char bull laying in burnt out ground in 105+ head, and cows out grazing.

I was thinking about that the other day- I wonder how much this early and prolonged heat will affect the bred percentage?... Sometimes when its too hot them old bulls like to go lay up on a side hill and forget about the cows...

I think I'll be fine as I turned the cows down onto the creek early- usually don't until August, but with the water going bad in some areas let them have access to the springs...They like to lay around the creek area and in the trees, where its cooler during the heat of the day- and the bulls are staying right in the middle of them :) ....

110 degrees here yesterday. All our cows and yearlings have shade available but prefer to bunch up where there is a little breeze.

I saw on the news that some place in NW S. Dakota was 120 yesterday with no relief in sight!

Keep cool Juan, don't let this heat get to you!

I'd rather drink Walkers and water as it at least has some ice in it.
