Warships in Cuba Yesterday, now troops and aircraft in the Ukraine today
It looks like with a weak US president, the Russians decided to grab a bit more territory..
what will Obama and Kerry do now that Russia has stomped all over their red line? send Susan Rice to the Sunday shows again?
I would say troops taking over the airport, and helicopters flying in Ukraine airspace is well ,... troops in the Ukraine..
I would say storming and removing the government and raising the Russian flag is well.. provocative..
throw in taking over two airports and you might say Putin just stomped on Kerry and Hagels warnings..
so now that the former president is gone.. and Russia is moving in,.. will Obama issue a new line like he did in Syria..
oh boy,.. I hope we don't have another idiot with a you-tube video coming out..
Tensions in the Crimea crescendo as armed men take control of two airports on the peninsula and Russian helicopters are reported to have entered Ukrainian airspace.

I consider what has happened to be an armed invasion.
Arsen Avakov, Ukraine interior minister
Ukraine's border guard serivce reported later on Friday that ten Russian helicopters had entered Ukrainian airsapce.
"It is a direct provocation... in the territory of a sovereign state."
Ukraine's parliament urged Moscow to "stop moves that show signs of undermining national sovereignty and territorial integrity ... (and) reject support for separatism in Ukraine, of any form".
Mr Avakov said troops that had arrived at the airports over night did not "hide their affiliation" to the Russian Federation. Mr Avakov added that around 119 soldiers had arrived in several trucks in the early hours of the morning to the Simferopol airport.
Ukrainian Interior Ministry officers remain inside the Simferopol airport, he said, and the military and border guards are inside the Belbek military airport.
On Thursday, Ukraine warned Russia that any troop movements outside its Sevastapol base would be seen as an act of aggression. Russia has said it will protect the rights of its "compatriots" in the region, and act "strongly and uncompromisingly" if they are violated.
This followed a group of armed men taking control of the regional government headquarters in Simferopol and raising the Russian flag.

Obama's Syria 'red line' has echoes in his warning to Ukraine
- U.S. President Barack Obama's stern warning this week to Ukrainian officials was the closest thing to a "red line" moment he has had since his threat in 2012 to act against the Syrian government if it used chemical weapons.
But Obama's admonition on Wednesday to not "step over the line"
His decision to lay down another rhetorical "line" in a geopolitical crisis left many foreign policy experts puzzled, especially given the limited options he has at his disposal for dealing with the Ukraine's spiraling conflict.
"Hasn't he learned his redline lesson?"
so now that the former president is gone.. and Russia is moving in,.. will Obama issue a new line like he did in Syria..
Appearing on U.S. television Sunday, President Barack Obama’s National Security Advisor, Susan Rice, was asked about the possibility of Russian intervention in Ukraine following days of bloodshed and a change of leadership in the country.
