sorry i don't know the answer to your questions, i raise a few bucking bulls and was at the futurity in stephenville this morning. heard a guy got maybe 8 embryos from one cow.....not sure i heard correctly. i didn't stay for the sale and didn't go back for the riding tonight....easter family etc. they were having a cbr and a pbr. i think i would have had to have gone to the cbr bigger arena, parking and all that. pbr was having theirs at a training facility, very nice but way to small. hopefully someone will answer this if not i will ask around and get back to you.

The most I've ever got out of a flush was 25 good embryos-not sure what it cost because it was a share deal-the other party covered the costs for half the embryos. Rodeo cows aren't trhe easiest to flush-I bred one for a buddy a yerar or so a go and I think we got 7. Were going to flush four older cows this year so I'll know more next year

Take it easy pard. Lots of folks are not on the site due to calving and the Easter holiday. If I knew the answer i'd gladly tell ya. For once I won't try talking about something I dont know a thing about. Somebody who knows will see your question and get back at ya. :D

geez... if anyone has some extra patience, send some over to cowhunter. sounds like he could use some.

edited for FH.

if the meds affect what a person types, then maybe the two shouldn't be done at the same time. kinda like drinkin' and drivin', don't ya think?

I believe the word is 'patience'. We must remember cowhunter is on
those dang meds he tells us about, that he doesn't like taking, but has to. So we need to have patience as well.
And I know nothing about the subject so I'm gonna do like 'H...and
not talk about something I know nothing about...

I think a 1/2 dozen is a norm but you can get zero on up to 20 or 30. It cost's $750 here to flush a cow and implant 6 embryo's fresh or freeze them. If frozen they charge more when they implant them. Also every embryo over 6 is an additional cost. I was present when they flushed a high dollar holstein and got 2 good embryo's and a peatry dish full of duds.Energy such as CORN in the diet beginning 45 days prior was important to the vet who did the work. Proper nutrition was key to success.

I posted around 2 and then apoligizes thinkin i asked somethin stupid and got a responce around 9. Justin, I try everyday to get off the damn steroids and oxyicodone, zanex and ambien. I got a tumor in my left shoulder that had gone down a little and u could hardly feal it. Now, my whole shoulder swool up like I been snake bit. A buddy of mine is a stock contractor and we talked about this and I told him we might could partner on some with me footin the bill. Plenty of other people in the know had done posted in other post so I figered I said somethin stupid again and apoligized. 7 hours had went by between my 2 post. But thanks for the imfo yall. The amounts of eggs u get, is that for the whole year? Is the egg fertlized before it goes in the cow of after? The man at the sale was after hodeny bred heifers, top and botton. I thought it was damn interestin and the prices on them young bulls was real good. Again, sorry, I aint ment to afend no body.

Nice of you to edit your post, Justin. It wasn't necessary, but darn sure
nice. Cowhunter apologizes when he realizes he's been short on here, so we can give him a bit of leeway.

Thanks, Justin. I didn't mean to be a monitor or anything, just wanted
to remind US of anothers situation...
