Well this was last fall I had these issues, so my memory is already failing me. :lol: We ended up buying a small submersible pump from our solar dealer that has more lift on less amps. It worked well.
I hooked up our older one - floating model - yesterday and it works fine at about 8-10 feet of lift. Anymore than that and it starts to tucker out.
The water hole we were trying to pump out of last fall was about 16-17 feet of lift at the time. It was a new reservoir we built to dam up 2 springs in a canyon. It was slow filling last fall, but of course now it's right full, about 14-16 feet of water. Gonna make a great fish pond too. :wink:
