We Are Safer after War with Iraq

Are we safer after going to war with Iraq? I say yes and the proof is there to back it up.

We have only had a couple incidents of terrorism in America after going to war with Iraq in 2003. They were both individual events of I believe a hit and run driver and a sniper.

But go to this website and look at the time line for Terrorist activity and notice none for 2003 2004 and 1 for 2005. Compare that to the events from say 1993 (Clinton era) til the start of Iraq War in 2003.

Even after 911 we had 5 attacks before the Iraq War in the two years under Bush but less than that after the Iraq war started in the 4 years.

It is easy to find them with the American flag showing where. But I think Clinton has a couple hidden under other flags since it happened at Embassies and Ships on foreign soil. So add a couple to his record.

While looking for your wiki article (which I couldn't find one talking about attacks after 911 btw) I found one just as amazing. Can't believe this one didn't make super headlines. Of course, I drove to Denver a couple of days after this was on fox so maybe I missed it. The resident religious rightwingnut robinson (pat that is) is saying that God talks to him and told him that we are going to suffer a horrendous attack this year and millions will die. He said that God didn't exactly say "nuclear" but pat thinks it will be something like that. Is he for real?

1. Anthrax attacks on the offices the United States Congress and New York State Government offices, and on employees of television networks and tabloid.

2. December 12: Jewish Defense League plot by Chairman Irv Rubin and follower Earl Krugel to blow up the King Fahd Mosque in Culver City, California and the office of Lebanese-American Rep. Darrell Issa, foiled

3. December 22: Richard Reid, attempting to destroy American Airlines Flight 63, is subdued by passengers and flight attendants before he could detonate his shoe bomb.

4. July 4: An Egyptian gunman opens fire at an El Al ticket counter in Los Angeles International Airport, killing two Israelis before being killed himself

5. October: John Allen Muhammed and Lee Boyd Malvo conduct the Beltway Sniper Attacks, killing ten people in various locations throughout the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan Area from October 2 until they are arrested on October 24

After the Iraq war began and Bush dropped the hammer on Terrorism and those that support it there was no such attacks NONE in 2003, 2004 or 2005 that is 3 years with no activity such as what has been rampant since 1993 through 2002.

What do you think this says? About Bushes war on Terror say versus Clinton's. You can not find one year that Clinton did not have Terrorist attacks on the U.S. soil.

I suppose that any criminal act that scares/terrorizes someone can be labeled an act of terrorism so I will grant you your 5 acts. However, I don't think the war in Iraq or the war against terrorism has much to do with the beltway snipers or disgruntled Egyptian gunmen shooting up a ticket booth or anything like that. But it is your story so I will concede that point. I do wonder though, I was delivering mail last Nov. and a little old lady who looked to be at least 80 years old nearly ran me down. I thought it was pretty terrorizing myself. Would that count?

Sherbert, do think it is a joke that people talk to God, or He talks to them??

I take this very seriously. on two occasions in my life there have been a voice to which I can not verify the source, other than it came from everywhere, but yet from with in me. Almost as if this voice took up all time and space.....till the day I die, I will believe it was the voice of God directing me in my life.

I can not see where a truly faithful person would lie about talking with God, for fear of having to face up to that lie after leaving this Earth.....

Well, good for you, but pardon me if I remain skeptical. If you were a truly faithful person, I doubt that you should be insulting and deceitful and belittling in every response you make to everyone who disagrees with your political view point.

As for the good rev. robertson, yes, I doubt very much that God talked to him and told him that America was going to be nuked this year. Of course, if bush keeps jacking around the way he is right now, it could very well happen. He keeps saying that he is trying to work this out diplomatically but he refuses to talk to Iraq or N. Korea. You have to talk to your enemies. That is what diplomacy is all about. Therefore, he is NOT trying to be diplomatic. But you believe every word that comes out of his mouth. The only thing I can say is that I really hope you guys are correct because I would like for my grandchildren to be able to enjoy their time here on earth and not die from some nuclear holocaust or have to live like a caveman. However, with bush not caring a twit about the environment and pissing off 75% of the world, it don't look good.

These are not some liquor store robbery were someone gets killed. Either they killed multiple people or they were attempting to.

Also kind of funny how they are Muslims doing it and many times targeting Jewish communities or people.

People like you are why there is many Muslim people committing acts of terror here in the U.S. as we speak but they are not getting reported as they should be. They are swept under the rug.

Just that they are using cars and guns instead of sucide bombers. But just you wait the bombers and the one carrying the big bomb is comming. Probably as soon as we get another Clinton like President worried more about his image and fun than America!
