Weak or Not

Does it show weakness when the US government, after Yemen based Al Qaeda took claim to a failed terrorist attempt on US soil, closes the Yemen Embassy?

Is the US not able to protect the US Embassy in terrorist strong holds?

What does the Embassy closing tell Al Qaeda?

And in a related issue.

How can Obama's advisor go on TV and say the review on the undie bomber found no smoking gun ?

1. His own Father warned US Embassy not once but three times about his son. The latest time was in Nov. Why report a threat if nobody is going to investigate the person? It was his father not a ex girl friend trying to cause problems FGS.

2. He is on a watch list but still had a US Visa, Why was he not on the no fly list since his own father felt he was a threat? At least why didn't the US State Department pull his Visa?

3. He buys a one way ticket to the US but he has NO LUGGAGE. Who goes half way around the world with NO LUGGAGE?????

Since a Rasmussen Poll says 56% of those polled feel that the Undies bomber should be water boarded if neccessary to get info of any other attacks. What say you on Ranchers?

Should the Obama administration release Gitmo detainees to Yemen knowing now that some that Bush felt weren't a threat and released to that country returned to the battle field and claimed responsibility for the Christmas terrorist attempt?

Just have to ask as I doubt Obama's people will ever admit that their new foreign policies are causing the up tick in Al Qaeda's boldness!!!

that the embassy staff wanted the day off..  seriously.. taking a day to review the current security needs is not a major issue,..

not showing up for a fight makes any bully think your afraid or weak, but why walk into a trap??

anyone on a watch list should be on the "do not enter" / "no Fly list", and only removed after a review by security personnel.. when a security person can sign off on them then they can get a visa, permission to enter and a ticket..

Since a Rasmussen Poll says 56% of those polled feel that the Undies bomber should be water boarded if neccessary to get info of any other attacks. What say you on Ranchers?

why not just water board him for fun?

it appears very few of them should have been released... and we would be safer if all of them were still locked up.. in my opinion both Bush and Obama have been soft on the Gitmo detainees..

How is keeping the Embassy open for the protection of your citizens traveling and living in the area walking into a trap? :? Is it secure or isn't it?

I agree when the undie bomb's dad reported him to the Embassy the FIRST time, he should have been put on the no fly list and his visa pulled by the State Department until an investigation was done. But there is no smoking gun here

I doubt 56% of Americans think Water boarding should be done in fun BUT if it is the only way to get some of these terrorists to talk to stop another American from dieing by the hands of those that think nothing of beheading and hanging dead Americans from a bridge and burning their bodies, or blowing up a airplane filled with innocent people.

Yemen is a failed state.. security is a greater concern in public, then at the complexes,, the employees have to be able to get to work,.. and without adequate security in the streets, they are targets.

It's probably a little too early to expect the new US funded "police force" top be on the job, eh?

Oh well, at least with the closure of the embassy they can justify US taxpayer $$s going toward the cause.

sorry.. but I'm getting a little annoyed with the PC crap.. and treating the terrorists like they are common criminals..

the undies bomber had a bomb in his underwear.. he was willing to blow his b---s off to bring down a plane on Christmas Eve...

and weatherboarding is torture?

if the guy is disturbed enough to plant explosives in his underwear to kill Americans.. then maybe we should treat him like the nut he is..

it's not even that... if a person is on a watch list.. the security personnel already suspect he is up to no good. .

why should we give them a visa?

is it not a bit crazy to let them fly over here as well?

if they are already on a watch list... they should need clearance before they are cleared to enter, and before they fly here not after..

I think your always better off to show your opponet weakness before you fight, that way their preparation is less and your strengths are hidden for surprise.

I agree with Steve and bullets are only a quarter....so just think on the money saved....I have never understood why we just dont take criminals out...in fact build a urnil that shoots out bullets when it flushes and these guys can shoot themselves...after they pee of course..we would not want them to lose the right to pee..All joking aside its time to get tough on crime of all levels...

I think you have me wrong Steve I believe like the 56% that these wack jobs deserve what ever it takes to get them to talk if it is going to save an innocent life. They have no respect for life so why should they recieve respect when it comes to getting answers that will stop them.

your plan might work if they have enough manners to actually flush the urinal.. most would rather complain about the stench then actually put in enough effort to pull the handle...

I would rather outsource our prisons first..

Now Now Steve you need to tone all that down and be a good conservative. You know it was just last week that political correctness was demanded here on the forum.

So before you give the conservative cause a bad name be nice in your posts.
