We are in the middle of a snowstorm. The weather forcast called for 60% chance of snow, with no accumulation. They were wrong.
This morning it was really foggy, then it rained some and turned to snow later in the morning. It is nice and wet and isn't cold out and not deep as of yet. Be interesting to see what morning brings.

Our cows are trained though, they don't calve in this stuff, but will wait for a better day.

We had it this morning...Day started with mist, then rain, that turned to slush and snow which quit about noon...Then about 3PM the sun came out and the birds were singing...Sky is clear now and they are predicting sunshine and near 60 for tomorrow.....

I did have a couple babies come in the snowstorm this morning- but the temps were still about 35 and they were up and sucking in about 2 minutes and as soon as they got a belly full they were fine....Gotta love them little angus.....

That 6807 bred bull is sure throwing some nice little calves- all running 70-80lbs. out of the heifers...The 878--(MGS Blockbuster) bull is throwing some heavier birthweights on the heifers 80-90lb- had one yesterday that was 94 lbs-- but they are all long and slim and squirting right out...Still haven't seen a heifer calving yet- they're just there when you check them like they're supposed to be... We can do that jump too, Haymaker, and I don't like it either.

It was 60 degrees or better yesterday and is to get in the 60's again soon as OT mentioned. Trouble is, it won't stay that way quite yet. We could get snowstorms til May and then might get another one.

When we looked at the place in W. Montana on the 14th of May, 1975, there was 18" of snow everywhere. The Columbian ground squirrels were laying all over dying because they couldn't get back to their holes.

I can remember the kids there making snow forts at the County Fair in August. And wearing gloves and knit hats on the 4th of July.

We are getting this mini-blizzard too. Winds are dang woofy, and wet snow and sleet coming down pretty fair. Just has the ground white and that's about it so far. Hopefully it will end anytime now. It was 71 deg. officially here yesterday, 40 for a low last nite, and down to 30 here now. At this rate it will be ten below by morning.

We had another great day yesterday, after our mini-blizzard the other day. Then very early this AM it started raining, and we have over a half inch according to one of my neighbors. :D :D

I'll take this over snow any day.

We've been keeping track of foggy days, (for quite a few years) we're pretty much convinced 70-80 days after a fog we can expect moisture :D
