Sportinghernewpermanentnumbertag.jpg

One of the heifers we plan to keep is sporting her new permanent ear tag. In the other ear, along with the tag she was given as a calf,
is a pink button which corresponds with the brown big-numbered tag. Usually we use a button tag in the left ear with the same color as the big tag in the right ear.
Ritchey doesn't make any pink tags, and Y-Tex doesn't make any brown buttons, so we use pink and brown together.

Fog and darkness are both approaching quite rapidly. Of course, it is the shortest day of the year.

Did that gal from Idaho ever find the heifers she was looking for? :D

Looks like chilly weather has made it south to stay for a while, we have another 7 inches of snow from the last two days. There is now close to two feet accumulated on the ground.

By the way Soap, you mount your visitors mighty well.

Refreshing to see your crew, your guests and your neighbors horseback. As for the Honda machine, it doesn't look nearly as uplifting to the spirit as the feel of a horse under you. Yet, it somehow looks like the fitting mode of transport for those two young fellers.

Thanks for the photo update.
