This weekend we went to DeRidder LA, Cajun Classic Barrel Race and took Lil Lilly and Toilet Paper. Besides it bein way too darn cold, we had a great time. Coffee pot stayed hoppin all weekend, was bout the only way to get warm. It was a 3 day barrel race, 1 run every day. They had somewhere in the neighborhood of 600 runners each day. Friday she was 9 out of the money, saturday she was 6 outta the money, and sunday a lil further down on the list, but she had three very good, clean runs, all within 3 tenths of a second of each other, so he was runnin consistant. She didnt win any money, but that's ok, least he's back runnin and bein competitive. Can't win em all.
Her coach also went, and ended up winnin the trailer they gave away. Boy were we all excited for her.

I always enjoy these things, not only because our daughter is runnin but because you get to meet so many nice people from all over the country.

One lil gal hit two barrels. She came outta the arena, you could tell she was in pain.....she couldnt hardly get off her horse. Her left leg had two big gashes on her shin. I'd brought along our first aid kit, ran to the trailer after it. She was a nurse. We try to keep it well stocked with larger bandages, cuz ya never know what you'll need. She commented on it having big enuff bandages and not just bandades LOL
She was rather upset at first, because she was there all by herself, and didn't know a soul, or anyone that had any bandages. Makes it all worth while when you can help someone out, and make a new friend.

She must have been thankful for you popping up as her guardian angel just at the right time.
