Weekly Reader Calls It for Obama

The Weekly Reader's quadrennial poll of students from kindergarten to 12th grade predicts that Obama will win big time, with 55% of the vote to McCain's 43%. This survey has been surprisingly accurate in the past, getting 12 of the past 13 presidential elections right, missing only Bill Clinton's win in a 3-way race in 1992. The survey's accuracy may be due to children getting most of their political views from their parents and the children's views may more accurately reflect what their parents are really thinking than what the parents are telling the pollsters.

Interestingly- even in the local races- we used to see the inschool sample elections to almost mirror what the real elections would be....

My daughters are in a college sociology course- that last week took the day to go over the local ballots- make them familiar with them- and then did a survey vote....They said there were 34 people in the class- and 32 of them were voting Obama...

Young people of today are so impressionable to the point that it's almost scary. They were previously impressionable too, but with more decent role models.

All of a sudden it became "cool" to mimic prisoners, (no belt, baggy pants w/underwear showing) inner city ghetto hoodlums and gang bangers, (caps turned in wrong direction, colors, hand gestures, etc.), becoming young single mothers... sometimes dependent on the state, and the list goes on.

Ayers and Alinsky had a plan...............

Just think Mike- when you're old and feeble and in some rest home- it'll be those young folks that are nursing students today that will be changing your diapers- and wiping the drool off your chin.....

The vast majority of the people Mike listed will never hold a professional job. What nursing home are you in O.T. if that describes your experience? I assume you are speaking from experience as that would explain a lot.
