Thought that some would want to know, our Marine was supposed to be on one of the first flights back to Hawaii. Have not heard from him yet just some of the Marine parents who are there to greet them.

The first 250 of 1,000 Kaneohe Marines arrived yesterday from Iraq, bringing joy and tears to their families.

He will not be here for about 10 days, they have to make sure that they will not go postal. They spent some time in Germany sampling the beer and on to Hawaii. Wpns Co. is the first to engage, the first on patrol and then the first to go home. Unfortunately, 23 of them already went home early, I was going to post their names, but that is sacred. But now I know that when (if ever) I get to the pearly gates, I will be greeted by some of the finest, bravest God has ever had guard the gates, and they will let me in, not because of any special thing I have done, but because I believed in THEM and their purpose, and because of them I get to live my life free.

Well said, sw. ALL of us get to live free because of them and their sacrifices. Tell your Marine welcome home and THANKS from Texas.

Got these pictures from the homecoming, I know they all are jarheads and they all have on camo and are carrying a rifle, but if you go to page 9, the guy talking to the priest and his commanding officer is none other than sw's man.
